X's turn
Two players share one device and take turns tapping an empty square — X always goes first. Get three of your mark in a row, column, or diagonal before your opponent does, and you win; if the board fills up with no winner, it's a draw.
It's one of the oldest known games — versions of it have been found scratched onto Egyptian roofing tiles dating back nearly 3,500 years. With perfect play from both sides it always ends in a draw, so most real games come down to who spots a mistake first. Wins, losses, and draws for both X and O are tallied as you play.
